The Fishnet Stockings are a rockabilly band from Biel (Switzerland). The style of music ranged from pure modern rockabilly to hard rockabilly and rock to neo-punk in the style of The Offspring and Green Day. In 2001 the trio Fishnet Stockings became the Swiss funpunk band QL (band) . Since 2013 Fishnet Stockings have been playing regular concerts again.
history
The band was founded as a Stray Cats cover band for a birthday party. After a few appearances in the original formation, Nico Brina left the band to devote himself to his solo career. With the drummer Stöffu Lanz the band recorded two albums and one EP. The band toured Europe and Western Australia in 1990 and 1991. After several changes, the Biel drummer Tosi joined the band in 1993. The band recorded 3 albums with him. In this formation, the band toured the USA and played several times in the legendary CBGB in New York City.
In addition to their own tours, they also accompanied other artists on various Swiss and European tours. Rock'n'Roll legend Charlie Gracie was one of them, as was New Yorker Joey Fulco and Brian Setzer's brother Gary Setzer .
In 2001 Fishnet Stockings switched to the funpunk band QL .
In 2013 the band formed again to make a comeback in the last lineup. Pat, Sägi and Tosi play concerts as Fishnet Stockings. Her repertoire consists of rockabilly classics and her own compositions.
