Nico Brina (born September 29, 1969 in Biel ) is a Swiss boogie woogie , blues and rock'n'roll pianist and singer.

Life

Nico Brina gave the first concert in 1984 with the rock'n'roll band "Jive Boys". A single "She's my Rock'n'Roll girl", an album "Jive Boys" and various television appearances document this time. In 1990 the band broke up. In the same year the pianist and singer went into business for himself and has been earning his living as a professional musician ever since. From 1990 to 1993, in addition to his solo appearances, he was a pianist in the country band "Buddy Dee and the Ghostriders", the blues band "Claudia Stevanon Band" and as a drummer in the rockabilly band The Fishnet Stockings . Since 1993 his solo career has dominated, which he has as a solo pianist, in a duo with drummer (1993-2000 "Thomas Driver" / 2000 until today "Charlie Weibel" and "Tobias Schramm" - in the Dominican Republic with drummer "Sly De Moya" and in Singapore with drummer "Patrick Fernando") and in a trio with drummer and guitarist "Pete Borel". In 2001 he founded the show "Tap and Boogie" together with the tap dancer "Lukas Weiss", which is still presented today. As further special guests, Nico Brina's show will also be presented with the multiple Swiss, European and world champions in boogie-woogie dancing "Sonja Emch Secchi & Francesco Secchi" aka "Sonja & Franky".

In August 2007 Nico Brina performed at the “Festival International de Boogie Woogie de La Roquebrou” in France.

The 66th birthday of Udo Jürgens from the television station were ZDF nine boogie woogie pianists from around the world invited for a special Act. Brina took part in this performance.

After more than 35 years on stage and with more than 3000 concerts worldwide, Nico Brina is one of the most sought-after boogie woogie, blues and rock'n'roll pianists and singers in Europe and has already been dubbed the "King of Boogie" by the press .
