Ladyva (actually Vanessa Sabrina Gnaegi , former artist name Vanessa G ), (born December 8, 1988 in Ipsach ) is a Swiss boogie woogie , blues and jazz pianist.

Live and act

Ladyva started playing the piano at the age of 14, inspired by the legends of boogie woogie. Two years later she was on stage with her brother Pascal Silva . Various television appearances followed ( Heiteren Festival Zofingen, ZDF Fernsehgarten / Glanz und Gloria etc.). In 2009 her first album was released. She also makes music successfully in her second home, the Dominican Republic . To date, she has made over 30 television appearances. In 2010 she performed at the blues festival in Basel . In 2011 she was signed to the Universal Music Group . From 2014 she performed at various boogie-woogie festivals in Germany.

In September 2015 she performed on the Jerry Lee Lewis “80th Birthday Farewell UK Tour” at the London Palladium and in Glasgow at the Clyde Auditorium . On October 16, 2015 she played live on Ryan Tubridy's TV show "The Late Late Show" on RTÉ One in Ireland . She was also on TV tour in Bulgaria in November, including shows such as Slavi's Show on BTV and the Miss Bulgaria elections. She then performed at the Cigar Awards at the Boisdale Club in Canary Wharf , London .

In May 2016 Ladyva was invited by Jools Holland to their annual Boogie Woogie Dinner, with other guests such as Axel Zwingenberger , Ben Waters and Stride pianist Neville Dickie. Two months later she performed at the Jazz Festival in Ascona and in October she was nominated by Jools Holland as “Best Boogie Woogie Pianist of the Year”. On December 12, 2016, she played again at the Cigar Awards. Appearances at festivals in France, Spain and Germany followed, together with Silvan Zingg . On April 22, 2017, they presented their CD Beloved Boogie Woogie at Silvan Zingg's international Boogie Woogie Festival in Lugano .

In August 2017 Ladyva performed at the largest boogie woogie festival in the world, the “Festival International de Boogie Woogie de La Roquebrou” in France.

In autumn 2017 Ladyva Jools won Holland's award for "Best Boogie Woogie Pianist 2017" at the Boisdale Music Awards in London.
