Chris Conz

Chris Conz , bourgeois Christian Bruno Conz (born October 22, 1985 in Uster , Switzerland ) is a Swiss boogie-woogie , blues and jazz pianist .

Musical career

Since he was eleven, Conz has dedicated himself to boogie-woogie , which he discovered through Hamp Ruosch. At the age of 16 he met Silvan Zingg , organizer of the International Boogie Woogie Festival Lugano, at a concert  , who invited him to the festival as a surprise guest. This was followed by appearances at international boogie-woogie festivals in Europe. He was on stage with Axel Zwingenberger , Vince WeberPopa Chubby and Nigel Kennedy . Today Conz is not only on the road as a solo pianist, but also with his duo and trio. He has performed in concerts in the USA, Spain, France, Germany, Holland, England, Austria, Italy, United Arab Emirates and Switzerland.

After Dave Ruosch left the rock'n'roll group  Terry & The Hot Sox in November 2004 , Conz started as a pianist. In June 2009 Chris Conz accompanied the American singer Wanda Jackson in this band  .

After winning the Kleiner Prix Walo music prize , TV appearances followed, including on the Prix ​​Walo program , which was broadcast by Star TV .

Conz has also been active as an organizer since 2011 and annually organizes the International Boogie Nights Uster as a boogie-woogie and blues festival in his hometown .
