Singer Andy Williams was simultaneously successful with a cover version .
Former Beatle George Harrison described Charlie's guitar technique in an interview with Billboard Magazine in March 1996 as "brilliant". In 2013, Cliff Richard recorded two Gracie songs with Faboulous and Butterfly for the album The Fabulous Rock 'n' Roll Songbook . Gracie opened a concert for Van Morrison on the West Coast.
Charlie's musical influence was recognized in 2007 with the documentary Fabulous . This is where companions like Frankie Avalon , Dick Boccelli and DJ Fontana have their say .
Gracie is still musically active and performs regularly.
