The Fjallavatn [ ˈfjadlavatn ] is the second largest lake in the Faroe Islands with 1.02 km² and is located on the island of Vágar . The area around the lake is one of the few nature reserves in the country.

The lake is located in the north of Vágar in a secluded valley where there is no road, only a hiking trail. The shortest route goes north from Vatnsoyrar . The lake is about 2 kilometers long and is drained by the Reipsá , which flows into the North Atlantic on the north coast through an 80 m high waterfall, the Reipsáfossur .

The hiking trail from Gásadalur to Slættanes passes the lake on its north side, while the trail from Sørvágur to Slættanes passes on the south bank, where it intersects the path from Vatnsoyrar. As in Leitisvatn to the south, the char is a common fish here, which makes the lake attractive for anglers. The larger specimens are caught on the north bank.
