Career

Fyodor Ossypa grew up in Kharkov . There he also started lifting weights. He quickly grew into the Soviet top class, but had the bad luck that he had two athletes in the light heavyweight with Trofim Lomakin and in the middle heavyweight with Arkady Vorobyov , which he could not defeat. The use at the European Championships in Helsinki in 1956 remained his only international test.
