Flavius Peregrinus Saturninus was a Roman military and politician and probably of the highest senatorial rank ( vir illustris ) . He probably lived around the turn of the 4th to the 5th century.

Flavius Peregrinus Saturninus had an extraordinary career, which he began at a young age in military service. There he rose to the rank of tribune . During his service, he gained the emperor's special trust, as he was mentioned in the Codex Theodosianus as administrator of the imperial private fortune ( comes rerum privatarum ). The career of Flavius Peregrinus Saturninus was concluded with the two-time exercise of the prefecture of Rome , which can possibly be dated between 403 and 407.

In research it is uncertain whether a gilded statue was placed on the Forum of Trajan on the orders of the emperor during his lifetime or after his death . The vita of the honored on the statue base shows the emperors as donors without naming them. The foundation probably falls during the reign of the emperors Flavius Honorius and Arcadius .
