Flett Buttress is a 905 m high ledge on James Ross Island east of the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises northwest of Mount Haddington and is the highest point of volcanic origin on the island.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him in 1987 after William Robert Flett (1900-1979), geologist of Operation Tabarin on Deception Island (1943-1944 as head of the station there) and in Hope Bay (1944-1945).
