The Tile Center Germany GmbH is a German service provider for retailers in terms of tiles , baths and spa in Germany and the Benelux countries .
The tile center has seven locations in Germany that employ a total of 450 people (as of 2006). The company is one of the three largest tile retailers in Germany.
history
The company emerged from the specialist shop for building materials , natural stone and tiles founded by Peter Philipp Friedrich (1868–1928) .
At the time of the German economic miracle , the company operated under the name Platten Friedrich Trier under the management of Michael Friedrich (1931–1998) and businessman Artur Friedrich (* 1934).
After the rebuilding and the increased demand from private households, Artur Friedrich concentrated on supplying the tile trade and the tile trade.
With German reunification , the company expanded to Leipzig. In the following years, new branches were established in Berlin (1993), Magdeburg (1994), Erfurt (1996), Munich (2007), Hamburg (2010) and Nuremberg (2015).
