In the south the open sea extends with the Great Australian Bay as part of the Indian Ocean . The peninsula is part of the Torndirrup National Park . The Bald Head Walking Trail leads to the eastern tip. From a parking lot on the edge of the peninsula, it's 12.5 kilometers via Isthmus Hill and Limestone Head to Bald Head , the end of the peninsula, and back.
