Florence Noiville (born July 23, 1961 in Boulogne-Billancourt ) is a French journalist , literary critic and writer .

Life

Noiville received her school education at the "Cité scolaire Augustin-Thierry" in Blois . She then studied economics at HEC Paris , followed by law with a diploma at Sciences Po in Paris .

Her first job with a multinational American company was a financial analyst . After a few years in the world of numbers, she decided to leave the financial sector in favor of the world of culture, literature and writing. In 1994 she started working as a journalist and literary critic for the French daily Le Monde . From 2007 to 2010 she presented on the French television channel “ LCI ” with her own program “Le Monde des Livres”. During this time Noiville began to write himself. First she wrote children's books , followed by a biography of Isaac Bashevis Singer and her first novel "The Gift". The book I Went to Business School and I Apologize ( J'ai fait HEC et je m'en excuse ) has been translated into twelve languages.

Noiville is married to Martin Hirsch. They live in Paris with their three children.
