Florencio Sánchez is a city in southern Uruguay .
geography
The city is located at an altitude of 156 meters (other sources assume 140 meters) above sea level, in the territory of the Department of Colonia in its sector 13 . A few kilometers north of the city runs the border with the Department of Soriano , on whose territory the city of Cardona is already located, to which Florencio Sánchez is directly adjacent. The Arroyo Colla rises to the west of the city .

On October 2, 1929, Florencio Sánchez was classified in the "Pueblo" category by Law 8482.
Infrastructure
Florencio Sánchez is connected to the southern city of Rosario via the Ruta 102 . With the Ruta 2 running in a north-westerly direction from the city , Florencio Sánchez has a connection to cities in western Uruguay such as Mercedes or Fray Bentos from a traffic point of view .
Residents
With a population of 3,716 (as of 2011), 1,825 male and 1,891 female, it is a city that is expanding in terms of population development, as only 3,038 inhabitants were registered in 1996.
