Florian Baron

Florian Baron (* 1984 in Berlin ) is a German film director , screenwriter and producer .

In 2013 he received a scholarship from the DAAD , in 2018 he was nominated for the German Short Film Award and the German Human Rights Film Award and his film "Stress" was awarded the DEFA Foundation Award in the Next Masters Competition at Dok Leipzig 2018 .

Life

Florian Baron was born in Berlin and, after graduating from high school, lived in Japan from 2004 to 2006 , where he worked on various film and video works of art. From 2007 to 2012 he studied directing at the HFF Konrad Wolf Film School Babelsberg-Potsdam . In addition to classic direction, Baron also works with experimental and spatial moving image formats and exhibits his work in an art context. He lives in Berlin.
