Florian Bohnert (born November 9, 1997 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg soccer player . He is under contract with 1. FSV Mainz 05 II and is a Luxembourg national player . He is mostly used as a center forward , but can also act in both winger positions and as a second striker .

Career

Bohnert began playing football in his Luxembourg homeland. His first club was the FC Avenir Beggen . He was active for this club until 2011. The move to RFC Union Luxembourg followed . He stayed there until 2013. During this time, he also made his debut for the Luxembourg U-17 national youth team.

In July 2013 he joined the youth department of the German club 1. FC Saarbrücken . There he was active for the U-17 selection for a year. In the summer of 2014 he was pulled up to the U-19. There he immediately became a regular player. On November 9, 2014, on matchday 10, he scored his first league goal for the U-19s. At the end of the season there were two league goals for Bohnert. In the following season, Bohnert was a top performer in the U-19s and scored seven goals in 24 games and controlled three assists. In the DFB Junior Cup he scored one goal in two games. There they were eliminated against the eventual winner Hannover 96 .

For the 2016/17 season he moved to FC Schalke 04 , with whose second team he played first in the Regionalliga West and after relegation in 2017/18 in the Oberliga Westfalen . From summer 2018 Bohnert was under contract with FK Pirmasens in the fourth-class Regionalliga Südwest . Here he scored five goals in 31 league games.

For the 2019/20 season, Bohnert moved to the 2nd team of 1. FSV Mainz 05 within the regional league .

National team

Since the U-17, Bohnert played for various Luxembourg youth national teams . He made his senior national team debut on May 31, 2016 in a 3-1 loss to Nigeria .
