Florian Dannehl (* 1972 / 1973 ) is a former German football player .

career

Dannehl's career in American football began in 1992 with the Stormarn Vikings. In 1995 he played for the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes from 1999 consisting belonged Tremsbüttel originating linebacker the levy of the Hamburg Blue Devils on. During his playing days, Dannehl also worked as a coach. In 2003 and 2004 he was a member of the staff of the Hamburg Eagles and of Hamburg's youth team. From September 2004 to April 2005 he was also the sports director of the Hamburg Blue Devils and was responsible for looking after the running backs on the coaching staff.

Dannehl was head coach of the Lüneburg Jayhawks in 2005 and 2006, and in 2006 he was also responsible for training the running backs for the Hamburg Eagles. In 2008 he was temporarily defense coordinator of the Eagles and in 2010 from August to October he was responsible for the fullback position of the Braunschweig Lions . From 2011 to August 2012, Dannehl was a member of the Lübeck Cougars staff , where he coordinated defense work.

In 2013 he became a member of the coaching team of the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes and from then on took care of the pass defenders. He stayed in office for three years, and from 2016 he was the head coach of the Hamburg Swans. In the run-up to the 2018 season, Dannehl returned to Kiel and looked after the running backs for one year, and then for one season in 2019, the players in pass defense and the players with special tasks.
