Florian Kling

Florian Kling (born December 13, 1986 in Calw ) is a German officer and politician ( SPD ). The captain of the reserve was chairman of the Darmstadt Signal until 2019 and has been Lord Mayor of Calw since 2019.

Life

After graduating from Maria-von-Linden-Gymnasium in Calw-Stammheim in 2006, Kling joined the armed forces as a temporary soldier and completed a degree in political and social sciences at the University of the Armed Forces in Munich , which he completed with a Master of Arts . He then worked in various positions, including at the Dutch NATO headquarters as a senior IT manager, platoon leader and company commander, and later as a press officer . In 2018 he retired from active service and became an IT consultant for the digitization of authorities and public administrations at CGI . He was also active in civil society, e.g. B. at the Darmstadt signal. Although a member of the SPD, Kling ran as an independent candidate and was elected Lord Mayor of Calw in October 2019.

Kling is Protestant and married.
