Florian Lamm

Florian Lamm (* 1984 in Bamberg ) is a German graphic designer and typographer . He lives in Berlin.

life and career

Florian Lamm studied type design with Fred Smeijers and system design with Oliver Klimpel at the Leipzig School of Graphics and Book Art . In 2012 he founded the Lamm & Kirch office with Jakob Kirch , which primarily designs books, posters and corporate identity. In 2015, his office was invited to the Kieler Woche design competition . In the winter semester 2016/17 he represented with Dr. Marie-Hélène Gutberlet met Professor Marc Ries at the HfG Offenbach . His work has been selected several times among the 100 best posters in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and has been shown at the graphic design biennials in Chaumont , Brno and Warsaw, among others. He designed books for artists such as Ute Mahler , Werner Mahler , Günther Selichar . The design studio's customers include a. Albertinum Dresden , ETH Zurich and the German National Library , for the University of Graphics and Book Art and the decentralized Festival Urbane Künste Ruhr they designed the visuals. In 2018 he received the Award of the Mayor of the City of Brno for a graphic artist up to 35 years at the Brno Biennale.
