Florian Penner , also called Flo: Pee (* 1974 in Mainz ) is a German double bass player , electric bass player and media artist .

Life

After graduating from high school, Florian Penner completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and trained as a business IT specialist . From 1997 to 2004 he was the electric bass player and singer in the experimental electro-radio band Reaktor , which repeatedly performed nationally. He studied design in the field of digital media at HBK Saar , which he graduated with a diploma in 2007. Since then he has been working as a video artist and bassist with the ensemble Die Redner , which aims to give speeches by important historical personalities (such as John F. Kennedy or Willy Brandt) to make it tangible in a new multi-media context. He works there together with drummer Oliver Strauch . Since 2008 he has been working as a research assistant at the HBK Saar in the Media Art & Design department and as a media stage designer at the Saarland State Theater . In January 2013, Élysée63 - The Show was shown by the group Die Redner with a one-hour broadcast on Arte .

In 2007 the ensemble Die Redner received the media art award of the Saarländischer Rundfunk for the "JFK-Show".
