Fluch & Segen is the fifth studio album by Unantastbar , the punk rock band from the Italian province of South Tyrol . It was released on May 30, 2014 via the German- Italian music label Rookies & Kings .
Music style and content
The album can be assigned to the genres German rock and punk rock . In addition to fast and rocking songs, such as Aus Dem Nebel or Auf Dich, Auf Mich , ballads (e.g. Forever Mine ) are also included.
Cover design
The album cover is mostly black and white. In the upper part there is the typical inviolable lettering in white. In the middle there is a skull with a crown of thorns, which stands out because of its yellow color. Left and right of it are white masks. - The site metalnews.de gave the album three and a half out of a possible seven points and criticized the average quality of the album:
“ Musically, untouchable offer typical German rock without surprises and on their new record“ Fluch und Segen ”they provide us with driving punk songs, ballads and rock numbers. […] The weak point of the band for me is singer Joggl, who thanks to modern autotune technology […] was cut to the pitch. […] In terms of text, the tried and tested is also used and thus everything revolves around love, tattoos, friendships, war or the failure of the heads up there. However, there is no concrete examination of the topics mentioned and what remains are vague texts that accompany the music. [...] In terms of production, you can always expect the best from Rookies & Kings that the market has to offer, especially in punk rock. Untouchables are no exception. The band also knows their craft and thus creates neatly arranged and catchy tunes. However, these are diminished by the weak points mentioned above in the vocal area (for the ballads) and in the text area (overall). "
