Rookies & Kings is a German-Italian record label that is based in both Munich and Brixen , South Tyrol . It is directed by Frei.Wild singer Philipp Burger and his manager Stefan Harder.
history
Frei.Wild were signed to Asphalt Records until 2008 , where they delivered their last album with Gegen alles, gegen nothing . The band met Stefan Harder (formerly Universal ) at a concert in Hamburg . In 2009, Harder and Burger finally founded Rookies & Kings. The first release was the Frei.Wild album Hart am Wind , with which the group was able to enter the German charts for the first time. Finally, it was decided to sign other bands. The first signing was the solo artist Raven Henley . This was followed by the befriended bands Untouchbar and Serum 114 . In addition to German rock bands Rookies & Kings took the hard rock band Spitfire and the gothic rock band Mono Inc. under contract. From 2012 the label was distributed by SPV . Since 2015 the distribution has been taken over by Soulfood Music Distribution GmbH .
In addition to the label work, Rookies & Kings also sells the merchandise of its bands. The label has two studios, one in Dessau and one in South Tyrol. There is also a shop in Brixen.
