Hangar X (also: Hangar-X ) is an Austrian German rock band from Steyr . It was founded in 2009 and is currently under contract with the Rookies & Kings label .

Band history

Hangar-X was initially founded as a trio by the brothers Rene (guitar) and Mario Bugelmüller (drums) and Max Enöckl (guitar and vocals). At first without a bass player, four songs were written and recorded for an EP , but the group decided to record an album straight away after Matthias Blach joined the band as bass player. Her debut album Rock 'n' Roll Rebel was self-distributed in November 2011 .

They performed their biggest gig at the time at the Vienna Gasometer , where they played in the opening act for Frei.Wild und Unapastbar . In addition, they were allowed to perform at the championship celebration of the SK Vorwärts Steyr club , where they played their soccer song shoulder to shoulder .

In the summer of 2012 the band came to Burnout Records , where in 2014 their second album was released without commitment no game . In 2016 a self-titled album was released on the record company MetalSpiesser Records. In the same year the first two albums were re-released on the MetalSpiesser Records label.

On February 8, 2019, the label Rookies & Kings finally announced that they had signed the band. In the meantime, Mario Bugelmüller has been replaced by the new drummer Wolfgang Innerhaider. The first album for the label was Fahr zur Hölle , which was released on April 5, 2019 after three years in the studio. In addition to the normal versions, the album was also released as a box set with a scarf and zippo as well as various merchandise. Afterwards the band went on tour with the group Artefuckt . The album reached number 57 in the German charts.

Music genre

The band plays German rock with punk influences in the style of comparable bands such as Böhse Onkelz , Frei.Wild, Serum 114 or Inviolable.
