history

Volksbank was founded on January 4, 1883 as the savings and loan association Amelsbüren eG. In the beginning, the banking business was carried out in the sexton's shop, since the sexton kept the till. In 1955 a new bank building was built on Davertsstrasse. In 1983 the name was changed to Volksbank Amelsbüren. In 2019 the bank merged with Volksbank Senden eG.
