SpitFire is a German hard rock - band , which in 2011 Munich was founded. The band calls their style of music "KickAss Rock'n'Roll".
history
SpitFire was founded in early 2011 by Dick Dropkick (vocals, guitar), Nikk Nitro (drums, vocals) and Johnny Jailbreak (bass, vocals). In the year it was founded, three songs were released that were available for free download on the Internet. In March 2012, a first appeared Demo - EP called Kings of Rock'n'Roll , on which the three demo songs, as well as four new songs were published. The EP was released independently and without a label.
At a concert by the punk rock band Serum 114 in the Munich cultural center Backstage , the label Rookies & Kings (the label of Frei.Wild , Serum 114, Mono Inc. , BRDigung and Matt "Gonzo" Röhr ) became aware of the band. In 2012 SpitFire signed their first record deal there. As a result of this collaboration, an EP called Devil's Dance was released in November 2012 . As part of the publication of the Devil's Dance EP, the song Burn In Hell was made available for free download.
Also in November, SpitFire could be seen in the opening act of the arena tour of the German rock band Frei.Wild and were given the opportunity to play in front of a total of over 100,000 visitors in the sold-out Westfalenhalle in Dortmund or in the sold-out o2 World Hamburg . In January 2013, SpitFire gave 13 concerts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the opening act of the punk rock band Betontod . The debut album Devil's Dance was released on April 19, 2013, which entered the German Top 100 album charts at number 87, determined by Media Control.
Her second album Welcome to Bone City was released on April 10, 2015 .
style
SpitFire call their music "KickAss Rock'n'Roll". It contains elements from hard rock , rock'n'roll , rockabilly , metal and punk . SpitFire play with clichés and irony typical of the scene, both in their texts and in their appearance.
