Goitzsche front is a German rock - band from the city of Bitterfeld-Wolfen in Saxony-Anhalt . With their album Deines Glückes Schmied they reached number 1 in the German album charts in February 2018 , Ostgold reached number 2 in January 2020.
history
The band was founded in 2009 in a bitter field bar. At first it appeared as a pure cover band. In the further course the members began to write their own songs with punk rock influences. They were particularly inspired by Böhse Onkelz , Berliner Weisse and Verlorene Jungs .
At the beginning of 2012, the idea of releasing an album was born, and in April of the same year recording began in the studio. The result was the debut album Musik ist mein Blut on the KB-Records label . With their third album Mo [nu] ment , which was released under the DOR label, they entered the German album charts for the first time. This was followed by the albums Deines Glückes Schmied (January 2018) and Ostgold (January 3, 2020).
Performances and tours
The band had their first appearances in a small circle in front of friends and family, before later major appearances at the Spreewaldrock Festival , the Back to the Streets Festival or the 20-year-old KrawallBrüder concert .
In 2015, with the release of the album, the Aus ruins Tour 2015 and other appearances at the GOND and the Krautlaut Festival began. In 2016, the band performed at the Alpen Flair Festival in South Tyrol , the GOND, the With Full Force and the Summer Breeze .
In February and March 2018, the release of the album Deines Glückes Schmied was followed by several concerts. From the end of March to the end of April 2018, the musicians were on tour as the opening act for Frei.Wild in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. From June 6th to 10th, 2019 there was the tour "The East Rocks" with a motorcade of fans from Oberwiesenthal via Oschatz, Stendal and Eberswalde to Peenemünde. With this as a special guest was Dieter Birr .
The Ostgold Tour will follow from January to March 2020 with performances in 14 German cities and in Vienna.
Newado entertainment GmbH is responsible for the management of the band , the band manager is Steven Dornbusch (Oschatz / Leipzig).

Surname
The band name is made up of the words “Goitzsche”, the name of a former brown coal mine near Bitterfeld and the resulting lake (pronounced like the band “Gottsche”), and “Front”, which in this case stands for the cohesion within the band stands.

Goitzsche Front supports the "Haus Einetal" - an institution for addicts in the Harz, with which there are friendly relationships.
