The Grootfontein Airport is the airport of the community Grootfontein in Namibia . The airfield, which is mainly used for military purposes, is located around four kilometers south of the city and has a 3560 meter long and a 1040 meter long runway.

From 2005 to March 4, 2016, this was the headquarters of the Namibian Air Force .
