About 20 journalists and 30 other employees work for NAMPA. In addition to the main office in Windhoek, the agency has seven regional offices in Swakopmund , Keetmanshoop , Gobabis , Ongwediva , Opuwo , Rundu and Otjiwarongo .

Services

NAMPA offers text, image and audio services for national and international press. It works closely with the international agencies Agence France-Presse , Antara News , Associated Press , Reuters , the South African Press Association , Xinhua and the Press Trust of India , particularly in the distribution of international news in Namibia .

Finances

Despite the commercialization carried out in 2001, the agency has been operating in a very deficit since it was founded. In May 2011, the company could only be saved by debt relief. The cumulative profit of the last few years has now reached 10 million Namibian dollars . In 2012, 80 percent of the revenue came from government subsidies .
