The Kagoshima Airport ( Japanese 鹿 児 島 空港Kagoshima Kūkō ) is a Japanese regional airport with connections to Japan and South Korea , which mainly connects the cities of Kagoshima and Kirishima to the air traffic network. Japanese law classifies the airport as a second class airport .
In 2000, more than 2.5 million passengers used this airport for the first time.
