The Kisumu Airport ( IATA : KIS , ICAO : HKKI ) is the international passenger airport to the port city of Kisumu in Kenya's Kisumu County and the third most important and most western Kenya's airport. It is located directly on the shores of Lake Victoria .

history

Kisumu Airport started operating as a small runway back in the 1930s.

From 2008, the airport was expanded to also used by larger aircraft will be able, as the Air Force One of Barack Obama , whose ancestors come from the region.
