The General Rafael Buelna International Airport is an international airport in the western Mexican state of Sinaloa . The next town is Mazatlán . It is the second largest airport in the state after the Federal de Bachigualato International Airport in Culiacan .
It has a runway and two terminals.
Incidents
On 20 October 1973, a landing Boeing 727-14 of Mexicana de Aviación ( air vehicle registration XA-SEN) 2 km east of the destination airport Mazatlan in a field. The machine came to a standstill with the landing gear torn off and was irreparably damaged. All 123 occupants survived the accident.
