Terminal Pisco Airport (2015)

The airport of Pisco ( Aeropuerto Internacional de Pisco ) is a military airfield of the Peruvian Army with civil joint use.

location

It is located near the Peruvian port city of Pisco in the small village of San Andrés.

Airlines and Destinations

In 2013 LC Perú flew daily to the airport from Lima and Cuzco . Currently (as of March 2017) there are no scheduled flights to the airport.

From April 1, 2017, Star Perú announced that it would connect Pisco Airport with Lima and Cusco.

As of August 2018, LATAM Perú connects the airport with Cuzco twice a week.

use

As the base of the Peruvian Air Force, the airport is currently mainly used for military purposes. Civil aviation has also been taking place since 2012. In addition, Pisco Airport is considered an alternate airport for Lima Airport . It was hardly damaged during the earthquake in August 2007 . It could therefore be used quickly for the relief flights for the earthquake victims in the region.

Conversion to an international airport

A small passenger terminal was built from 2011 to 2012. In the following years from 2014 to 2016, a large terminal was built, as well as parking spaces and other service facilities. The access roads from Pisco and San Andres have also been re-tarred.
