The Trat Airport ( Thai : ท่าอากาศยาน ตราด ; IATA : TDX ICAO : VTBO) is a regional airport in Trat province in the eastern region of central Thailand . It is located about 35 km west of the provincial capital Trat in the district of Khao Saming .
Location and general
This airport should not be confused with the "Trat Airstrip" (ICAO: VTBV), which is used exclusively by the Royal Thai Air Force and is located southeast of Bang Phra near the border with Cambodia .
With Bangkok Airways , which is also the operator, you can fly from the airport, which opened on March 31, 2003, to Bangkok in around 45 minutes . The airport has an open terminal and a 1,800 m runway. The flight connection between Trat and the island of Koh Samui was canceled again.
