Amphoe Khao Saming ( Thai : อำเภอ เขาสมิง ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in the east of Trat Province . Trat Province is located in the east of the central region of Thailand .

geography

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the north): Khlung district in Chanthaburi province and Bo Rai , Mueang Trat and Laem Ngop district in Trat province.

history

The district was founded in 1898, and its name has changed several times in the past. First it was called Si Bua Thong, then Thung Yai and finally Khao Saming when the administration building was moved to Ban Tha Kathon in Tambon Khao Saming. The current building started work on February 14, 2000.

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Khao Saming (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เขาสมิง ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Khao Saming, Thung Nonsi.
  • Saen Tung (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล แสน ตุ้ง ) consisting of parts of the tambon Saen Tung.

In addition, there are eight " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Khao Saming (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล เขาสมิง ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Khao Saming.
  • Saen Tung (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล แสน ตุ้ง ) consisting of parts of the tambon Saen Tung.
  • Wang Takhian (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล วัง ตะเคียน ) consisting of the complete tambon Wang Takhian.
  • Tha Som (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ท่า โสม ) consisting of the complete tambon Tha Som.
  • Sato (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล สะตอ ) consisting of the complete tambon Sato.
  • Pranit (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ประณีต ) consisting of the complete Tambon Pranit.
  • Thep Nimit (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล เทพ นิมิต ) consisting of the complete tambon Thep Nimit.
  • Thung Nonsi (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ทุ่ง นนทรี ) consisting of parts of the tambon Thung Nonsi.
