The Batllava airfield ( Albanian  Aeroporti i Batllavës , Serbian Аеродром Батлава-Доња Пендуха Aerodrome Batlava-Donja Penduha ) is located around eight kilometers south of Podujeva in Kosovo . The name Batllava comes from the nearby village of Batllava .

history

Batllava airfield was the first regularly used airfield in Kosovo. It was already served by Aeroput in 1936 as a stopover on the route from Belgrade to Skopje . Later it was used by the Yugoslav military . During the Kosovo war in 1999, it was bombed and damaged by NATO .
