The Niederöblarn civil airfield is located in Niederöblarn (municipality of Öblarn ), about 30 kilometers east of Schladming in Styria . The operator of the airfield is Sportunion Österreich. The airfield is also a starting point for long-distance flights.
Since 2001 the Heliport Niederöblarn ( ICAO code : LOGC) has been one of the locations of the Christophorus Air Rescue Association with the helicopters Christophorus 14 and Christophorus 99. The location and the stationed helicopters play a central role in the ZDF / ORF television series Die Berggretter .
There is also a club hotel with a sports center right at the airport, which is also operated by the Sportunion Österreich.
