Focus Gesundheit (also FOCUS GESUNDHEIT) was a German, Munich- based pay-TV broadcaster that began broadcasting on June 1, 2005. The program could only be obtained via Premiere, later Sky , until January 7, 2010 , after which this distribution channel was discontinued. From February 2010, the program should be marketed via cable kiosk and IPTV . The broadcaster received broadcasting approval from the Bavarian State Center for New Media , BLM in Munich. The approval period initially ran until May 31, 2013.

On August 6, 2010 it was announced that the broadcaster will cease operations completely on August 31, 2010 at Unitymedia and on September 15, 2010 at the cable kiosk due to a lack of “economic conditions for a meaningful continuation”.

Program content

As a specialty television program, this channel dealt mainly with the topics of health, nutrition, prevention, travel, medicine, research and psychology in documentaries and reports. Films produced in-house and bought in from Germany and abroad were broadcast. The station was operated by Focus TV Produktions GmbH, which also produces other TV formats for German free TV stations.
