Foeata (also: Foiata ) is a small uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .

geography

Foeata is one of the westernmost islands in the Vavaʻu archipelago. It is located on the western edge of the atoll in the extension of Hunga and Fofoa , together with its "big sister" Foelifuka . Together with Foelifuka and Vakaʻeitu in the southeast, it forms the entrance to the Ava Pulepulekai Canal .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Vavaʻu group, Foeata is occasionally hit by cyclones .
