Foelifuka (also: Focato ) is an uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .

geography

Foelifuka is one of the westernmost islands in the Vavaʻu archipelago. It is located on the western edge of the atoll in the extension of Hunga and Fofoa , together with its "little sister" Foeata . Together with Foeata and Vakaʻeitu in the southeast, it forms the entrance to the Ava Pulepulekai Canal .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vava'u group, Foelifuka is occasionally hit by cyclones .
