Georgina "Georgie" Clarke (born June 17, 1984 in Geelong ) is a former Australian athlete who specialized in the middle distance .
Career
Georgina Clarke won the gold medal over 800 m at the Junior World Championships in 1999 in Bydgoszcz . A year later, at the age of 16, she took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney . In the race over 1500 meters she reached the semi-finals and finished 20th in the final ranking. A few weeks later she won over 800 m silver and over 1500 m bronze at the Junior World Championships in Santiago de Chile . The following year she was junior world champion for the second time , this time over 1500 m.
