The Fohrenbachmühle , also Fohrenbach saw ; once also the Teufelsmühle , was a grinding mill and is still a sawmill in Nöggenschwiel in the Waldshut district .

The Fohrenbachmühle is located below Nöggenschwiel on the Fohrenbach, a tributary of the Schwarza .

history

The Fohrenbachmühle was first mentioned in 1328 (molendium in Forebach, quod alias vulgariter dicitur des Tufels Muli) and was a feudal mill of the St. Blasien monastery and belonged to the Leinegg estate until 1770 . Today the Fohrenbachmühle is still operated as a sawmill. In Fohrenbachtal was an extensive medieval mining area, the origin of the mill is based in a well- Poche .
