Fondeadero Amenábar is a deep natural harbor in the Wilhelm Archipelago off the Graham Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 5 km southeast of Quintana Island , 6.5 km northeast of the Betbeder Islands and 30 km west of Cape Tuxen .
Chilean scientists named him after Adolfo Amenábar Castro, captain of the tanker Rancagua on the 11th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1956–1957).
