Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) was founded in February 1999 at the suggestion of fan groups from different parts of Europe in Vienna with the participation of football associations and players' unions, among others. An attempt was made at a conference to develop a common strategy and a basic program against racism and xenophobia. This resulted in the organization "Football Against Racism in Europe" (FARE) - a network of groups from 13 European countries - and an action plan.

task

FARE intends that the "beautiful game" football can be played without the "disease" of racism. The network has set itself the task of fighting racism and xenophobia in football across Europe. Through coordinated action and joint efforts at local and national level, FARE intends to bring together all those who are interested in tackling discrimination in football. An example of the FARE's actions is the support of the Mondiali Antirazzisti .

partner

FARE works with FIFA and UEFA as well as with numerous national football associations.
