Ford Trophy 2016/17
The Ford Trophy 2016/17 was the 46th staging of the National List-A cricket - Championship in New Zealand . The competition was held between January 15 and February 18, 2017 between the six New Zealand first-class teams. In the final Canterbury beat the Wellington Firebirds with 28 runs.
format
The six teams play eight games against the other teams in a group. There are four points for a win, two for a draw or no result and no point for a loss. A bonus point is awarded if your own run rate exceeds that of your opponent by 1.25 times. Furthermore, it is possible that teams are deducted points if, for example, they play too slowly. The winner of the tournament will be determined in the page playoff system .
