Saubuche forest house

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The forester's house Saubuche in Raubach , a district belonging to Oberzent in the southern Odenwald district, is a former forester's house and, like a nearby stone table, was included in the monument topography of the Odenwald district as a cultural monument .

The forester's lodge, northeast of Raubach in the Finkenbachtal, once belonged to the Counts of Erbach , whose coat of arms adorns the portal lintel and is surrounded by the inscription LFGZE 1781 . The plastered building has a solidly bricked ground floor and an upper floor in a half-timbered construction . The mostly original windows on the upper floor are remarkable.

A few meters west of the forester's house is the Wittig's Ruh stone table with a round table top and a curved bench with a backrest, which, like the table, is made of sandstone . The facility, built around 1920, served as a resting place for hunting parties and is also classified as a cultural monument.
