Fortunato (born March 15, 1966 in Munich ), actually Thomas Montasser , is a literary agent and writer .

life and work

As a teenager he earned his first money as a newspaper boy, with garden fence pricks and chopping wood, and later as an insurance employee and painter . He did his community service in a clinic, then studied law and worked for a lawyer . He also wrote (his first novel at the age of 16, the first children's book at the age of 20). The first publications followed from 1985. He founded the Teatro non troppo and set poems by François Villon , Arno Holz and Christian Morgenstern . After graduating, he worked as a journalist and editor, as well as the author of numerous non-fiction books and guides. With the novel The Forbidden Gardens , published in 2001 , he returned to literature. His books for children and young people have been published since 2006. He also writes under the pseudonym Tim Erzberg . Fortunato is married and lives in Munich with his wife and three children.

Literary style

Fortunato combines elements of fantasy with historical motifs. Linguistically, he is one of the few entertaining authors who are literarily ambitious. In his works he presents a very broad vocabulary and complex sentence structures. Nevertheless, all of his works are designed for tension and are often provided with a variety of humorous twists.
