The Sumiswald Forum is a multifunctional and multi-sport facility in the Sumiswald community .

history

The Forum Sumiswald was originally conceived in the 1990s. The indoor pool has existed since 1973 and was the cornerstone for the expansion of the Sumiswald Forum, which was set up in the 1990s and opened in 1998. In 2002 the association that ran the forum was about to go bankrupt. The reason for this is not the utilization of the sports center, but interest on debt that had to be raised for the debt of around nine million francs. The finances therefore had to be restructured. UBS and the former Sparkasse Sumiswald waived a total of almost seven million francs.

Since 2004 the operation has been carried out by a stock corporation.

The Sumiswald Forum is a multifunctional facility for sports, seminars and events. In addition to training camps for clubs and sports associations in a wide variety of sports, Y + S courses and training courses esa are also held by authorities and associations. Events are offered with their own offers or in combination with the nearby clubs Schwingklub Sumiswald, Hornussergesellschaft Sumiswald or Hornussergesellschaft Wasen-Lugenbach.

The use of the forum is used by different associations as a result of its size and the various facilities. Local clubs hold their trainings or competitions in the forum. For example the floorball clubs UHC Grünenmatt-Sumiswald and EHV Skorpions, Badminton Club Sumiswald, Sportkegelklub Sumiswald and others.
