FotoMagico is a presentation program for the macOS operating system . It was programmed by Peter Baumgartner for the German company Boinx Software near Munich , and it is distributed via the Mac App Store , Application Systems Heidelberg and the company's own website.
The surface of the software is reminiscent of iMovie and is very intuitive to use. In FotoMagico, images from the iPhoto archive and your own directories can be integrated. The program accepts the iTunes library as tones . The elements are arranged on a stage, linked with effects and cross-fades and finally accompanied by acoustics. The finished presentations are burned directly to DVD, saved as QuickTime films or converted for the iPod . Version 1.8 works with Aperture .
Version 2.2, which among other things produces screen savers and standalone shows as well as allowing watermarks , now has an export agent that greatly facilitates the output of films. In June 2008 it was rewarded with another Apple Design Award in the category "Best Mac OS X Leopard Graphics and Media Application". Version 2.5 contains a teleprompter for working on a second monitor, supports the iMedia browser and exports directly in YouTube format.
Version 4 brings among other things support for multiple layers, a timeline, a revised user interface and improved synchronization of audio with the slides.
Version 5 adds a dark user interface and a library of ready-made snippets to the program, which can be integrated into the presentation.
