Four in a Cage is a four-piece Thrash Metal / Metalcore band from Neunkirchen , Lower Austria, founded in 2005 . The group consists of Patrick Wagner ( guitar , vocals ), Helmut Macheiner ( lead guitar , background vocals ), Stefan Ebersberger ( bass , background vocals) and Markus Berner ( drums ).
history
Four in a Cage got together in 2005 to initially cover songs by Metallica . At the beginning of 2007, they created their own style and a. in hardcore , death metal and thrash metal . Some songs are reminiscent of bands like Trivium , Metallica or As I Lay Dying and Killswitch Engage , but they were always careful to “do their own thing”.
After a line-up change in 2010 they found the right lineup and began specifically to write songs. The highlight of their career so far was winning the band contest Metalchamp 2011 in the sold out "Szene Wien", which brought the band appearances at established festivals such as the Metalfest Austria and the Metalcamp in Slovenia.
By winning the band contest Metalchamp 2011 , the group was able to win a record deal with the Viennese label Terrasound Records . At the end of 2011, the first long player My Last Path was recorded in the Vienna Udio Media Studio, which was released in April 2012. There were good reviews for it in magazines like Rock Hard or Legacy .
Bassist Stefan Ebersberger is supported by an endorsement from the bass guitar manufacturer Warwick .
