The Fowler Ridge Wind Farm ( German Fowler Ridge Windpark ) is a wind farm in Benton County in western Indiana of the United States . It is located about 30 miles northwest of Lafayette and about 145 miles northwest of the federal capital Indianapolis . It was built within 9 months and consists of two parts that were completed one after the other in 2008. The total installed capacity is 600 MW . The wind farm extends over an area of ​​approx. 500 km² and is thus the largest wind farm in Indiana. With around 118,000 households, it supplies around 4% of the 2.8 million households in Indiana (as of 2010) .
