Frédéric Bettex
Jean Frédéric Bettex (born April 9, 1837 in Etoy ; † September 14, 1915 in Allmannsdorf ) was a Swiss teacher and apologetic writer .
Life
Bettex, the son of a pastor, received his education in Württemberg and studied mathematics , natural sciences and art history in Tübingen . He was a teacher in Scotland and a language and drawing teacher for 27 years at the Evangelical Daughter Institute in Stuttgart . The King of Württemberg awarded him the title of professor. In 1902 he gave up his teaching post and moved to Überlingen on Lake Constance .
Bettex is known for its apologetic books, which reflect solid scientific and historical knowledge.
